Riveting recital of Schubert’s Die Schöne Müllerin. Such a glorious voice and splendid poise, masterful control of his art and an astounding, tender subtlety in his delivery (and the most wonderful musical partnership with his fantastic accompanist, Helmut Deutsch). How happy I felt to be there and witness such greatness. The hardcore fan audience would not leave until he gave a fourth encore.
